Play ball! Chicago is home to two major league baseball teams: the Chicago White Sox and the Cubs. Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, is located in the heart of Lakeview on Clark and Addison. Residents in this area can take full advantage of viewing opportunities from rooftop bleachers on condos and apartment buildings near Wrigley Field.
If a Lakeview resident prefers the theatre, the Briar Street Theater, currently performing the well-known Blue Man Group, offers daily and nightly shows throughout the week. Lakeview is also known for a vast small theatre presence. Some popular venues include: Improv Olympics and the Cornservitory.
Also well-known for its nightlife, especially within the Wrigleyville and Boystown neighborhoods, Lakeview offers an eclectic selection of pubs, bars, and dining options. One of the favorites, Smart Bar, hosts multimedia events and parties that bring together visual, performance, and experimental art. Smart Bar regularly features dance and DJ music as well.
Centrally located within Lakeview, the Century Shopping Centre is a four story building that was born in the 1920s as a vaudeville theater. In the 1970s, it became a mall and has recently experienced renewal and refurbishing. In addition to shops and restaurants, “the Century” also features a 24 hour fitness center and movie theater.

With plenty of recreational and entertainment options within the neighborhood of Lakeview, this neighborhood is only minutes from the multitude of activities that the city of Chicago has to offer. For only a few minutes on public transportation you, one find a world of things to do.
