 Located on North Clark Street, the Chicago Museum of History showcases millions of artifacts and pieces of U.S. and local Chicago history. The variety of exhibits in this small local museum promises to appeal to both adults and children.

 For a beautiful day outdoors, nothing beats a trip to The Lincoln Park Zoo.  With a famous collection of animals, two areas geared toward children, special events year round, and free admission, this zoo is a popular destination for people all over Chicagoland. .

 Another day with nature can be spent at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. Located just off Lake Shore Drive, visitors can go to this beautiful and lush nature outpost and walk among the butterflies, maybe even catch one emerging and pumping its wings for the first time. Visitors can find themselves inches from a frog or snake, and watch the other nature creatures that have been painstakingly cared for and reared into adulthood by the employees of this unique Lincoln Park museum.

 Lincoln Park itself is the park for which the neighborhood was named, and is a tract that goes from the Ardmore Avenue lake front area in Edgewater to North Avenue.  In the park itself, visitors can find a rowing canal, playing fields for various sports, and several man-made ponds.

 In Lincoln Park and all surrounding areas of Chicago, residents can find a plethora of festivals and celebrations honoring diversity, commemorative events, or the arts. In Lincoln Park, one of the favorite festivals is the Chicago Summerfest, which brings thousands of performers and artists from the Chicago area to showcase their wares and abilities.

 A short ride in the car or the “L”, which is the preferred form of transportation in this traffic-prone area, takes Lincoln Park residents to the Grant Park Music Festival, a summer concert series in beautiful Millennium Park. The only remaining free classical music concert series left in the United States, performances by the Grant Park Orchestra take place almost every night of the summer and rehearsals are open to the public daily. Millennium Park also hosts the Sumemrdance Festival, another summer festival that features dance classes and dance parties at Grant Park’s Spirit of Music Garden.
